Beautiful story of two lonely people finding comfort in each other through an impossible yet pleasant mistake in Mumbai’s Dabbawala system.
Ila is portrayed as a desperate woman hungry for love. She becomes a brave decision maker as she crosses paths with Fernandez, a sulky widow, who sees and acknowledges her and manages to get our sympathy as he softens with this encounter.
There is a very smooth storyline with absolutely no clutter. From characters like the upstairs Auntie, to the children playing cricket, from youth suicides to the homemade meals, any and all details help us understand “the situation” in a very interesting manner.
The ending is left on a positive yet ambiguous note.
A must watch.
