A terrible adaptation of a really fantastic book series. Over done cgi, crazy loud sound effects that don't add to the overall feel of the film and substandard acting from some usually incredible actors. I was really excited when I heard this was being released as I'd followed the book series for over a decade. I couldn't have been more disappointed. It's like the creators ignored the source material other than occasionally slapping together random parts of the books without reading them. This could have been incredible, instead it's just something to watch if you don't want to think.
