guys dont watch this. im 14 which is ironic because megan, the main character, is also 14. i watched this at a party last night, and i mean an actual 14 year old party where we ate ice cream and we jumped on a trampoline, not whatever parties she was going to full of middle schoolers who had sex, did drugs, and drunk alcohol. i get that people can get exposed to this stuff early, but it was extremely overdone. megan literally NEVER shut up about having sex, and some of the sex she was talking about was straight up sa, which was discussed terribly. literally there was a scene that was at least 4 minutes of her gossiping with her 13 year old best friend about how she had sex with a 17 year old when she was 10, not talking about it seriously, straight up gossiping like it was some achievement. this kind of terrible stuff went on for LITERALLY 2/3 OF THE WHOLE MOVIE where everyone was a jerk for no reason and all they talked about was sex. the acting for the whole movie except for the last 20 minutes was also so bad?? i swear they got these actors off of craigslist, it was so unbelievably awkward. now, getting to those last 20 minutes, they were absolutely vile. ill give them this, amy’s acting was believable in those 20 minutes, which is part of the reason it was so vile. she was sexually assaulted and then buried alive, and im not kidding i was about to cry when she was getting buried alive, it was terrible. it was 7 minutes of unedited footage of the killer digging a hole to bury her in while she was full on begging for him to let her live while she was stuck in a barrel with her dead best friend. plus, they showed two photos that absolutely shocked me, and it just seemed so off? the images, especially the one of megan in the table where her body is shown seem so vile and perverse in a gross way. please dont watch this movie, especially if your 14 or younger like me. its not traumatizing (at least for me) like some people have said, but it’s definitely one of those things that you can’t unsee and will stick in your head for a while. it also can be SUPER triggering.
