The book opened up a new view of history, I had never had access to this historic and politically complex period while at school. The book has lead me to search out more literature on this period in history.

The parallels between what happens in the corporate world cleverly interplay with our popular held preconceptions of the individuals that inhabit that world and their over privileged offsprings. It was a fresh and entertaining take on Edgar Allen Poe's 1839 short story of what can happen when you make a deal with devil.
