Christmas 2021 Episode 1 Has it run its course and needs to be put out of its misery? It certainly came over as very stale and in need of a revamp or even a fresh team of writers. Most of the same characters were wheeled on then off contributing little or nothing to the plot : it was almost comedy by numbers but someone couldn't count. I will be hard pressed to watch part 2. Christmas 2020 Normally the show exceeds expectations and raises a large number of laughs but the 2020 Christmas special was spectacularly uninspiring. Good ideas were introduced but were unresolved and merely provided a platform for weak jokes and were then forgotten. We moved on to the next non sequitur. There were too many unexplored ideas. Fundamentally, the show had no destination so setting out was pointless. A huge disappointment.
