Let's talk about the *One Piece* ! Eichiro Oda is the world's 9th bestselling author and his manga One Piece is the best selling comic ever printed in volumes, with two guiness world record. *One Piece has sold over half a billion copies worldwide, becoming one of only two literary works in history to achieve that (the other being Harry Potter). In the process, One Piece outsold the second best-selling American comic book character, Batman Yes !! One Piece is a literary work which will go down in history. But apart from these I'm going to talk about my personal experience with the series. I had experienced the biggest blow of my life and the series entered in my life at that point. I relied on One Piece to escape reality and at that point it was a source of all my excitement and happiness, yes its a life saver for me. One Piece taught me two biggest lessons ,first we should never lose our smile in any situation and second, When everything's said and done you'll end up a skeleton so spread your tales from dawn to dusk accross the foamy seas. It won't be justice if I don't talk about its main protagonist, Monkey D Luffy. There's no way you won't love him, he's the best written main character in the history of anime/manga ever !! This man is a inspiration from me, I have learnt to tackle everything with optimism and smile because of him. Luffy is the man who will become the King of the Pirates !!!!!!!! Talking about the king of Pirates we cannot ignore the star of the series, the first man who completed the circumnavigation of the globe and reached the final hidden island which no one could reach in 800 years, wealth, fame , power, Pirate Gol D Roger attained everything this world has to offer, people named the treasure he obtained as "One Piece" and called him The Pitate King. In his execution platform he uttered his final words when someone asks him about his treasure "My treasure? You can have it if you want it,but you'll have to find it ! I have left everything that I have in that place !!!!!!" These words tossed the world into chaos starting the so called "Great Pirate Era". There's nothing more exciting than this if you ask me. I won't explain much about the plot and the set up of the series, experience all that for yourself. This series has 1064 chapters so far and is still releasing, and the fact that after 25 years of serialisation this series is standing tall at the top and always moving forward makes trying it worthy, 1000+ chapters, so many mysteries, 1000+ characters and its world building and uniqueness is unmatched. Nobody knows what the so called treasure "One Piece" is and its just one of the 100 mysteries that this world holds and this makes the series even more exciting, each chapter which answers some questions will leave you with even more questions and sometimes the answers will lie in the panels of the chapter such is the fun of Eichiro Oda's writing, I have complete faith in him that he won't disappoint you. Finally I want to say One Piece isn't just a manga, its an inspiration for me, its my treasure !! This series is not liked by its fanbase, its *loved* by its fanbase. The more you look at it its not just a story about its characters, you'll realise, its, your story, my story, its our story!! It tells the tale of the world. Its one piece of laughter, its one piece of passion, its one piece of love, its one piece of adventure, its one piece of *FREEDOM* Its a never ending ever wandering laugh tale.
