Halfway through the first episode I came to the conclusion that this wasn't for me. It seemed a little 'shades of grey-esque'. Determined however to give it a fair shot, I carried on watching. The acting was good and the characters were developing.
At around episode three I was invested, but wasn't really enjoying the viewing because I desperately wanted to know what the heck was going on. Don't get me wrong, I know how a suspense / thriller works, but I was pretty confused as I couldn't quite work out who to 'root' for.
Then came the moment of complete surprise surrealism that reminded me of the first time I saw Quinten Tarentino's 'from Dusk till dawn'. For the first hour and a half I thought I was watching a slightly dark road trip flick, only to be slapped without warning of the fact it's actually a vampire film! (Not bad mouthing this film.. it's awesome).
Getting back to this series; I saw the twist coming at the moment it turned surreal, and I personally don't like films etc that don't end 'happy ever after'.. but hey, not everyone's boat float in the same way.
Overall it was a decent experience, but felt that an episode of 'Black Mirror' could deliver the same goods this series took six to achieve.
