DONT BUY MADDEN OR EVEN OTHER EA GAMES! They don’t respect you as a fan by not producing a good product and assuming you’re not smart enough to just say no. I had purchased every version of madden from 1997 until 2018. I was a madden guy! I’d play it so much for each version but then EA got lazy and starting acting like a company that is too big. Not caring enough about the fans to deliver a good product. Many years it was basically a $50 roster upgrade so I stopped buying it. This last year I got a Ps 5 and decided to get madden 24 for me and my kids. Give it one more try and maybe I can make a second generation of madden fans! If I could I’d get a refund for my money! Such a waste. The game is basically designed to push MUT and nothing else. Why? Because they can then do in game charges and make 10x as much money. But sadly that a very short term outlook. For MUT they don’t even care enough about you to make it so when you try and play they match you with players who have similar talent to your team but also your talent. Every time I log in I’m set up to play with someone who’s team was clearly purchase with hundreds of extra dollars and who are more used to playing. And even when I play 10 games and provide a baseline for my ability I still don’t get matched with people who’s talent is similar. So basically I’m getting destroyed online by people with pay more player talent that they bought and also just more experience. I can’t do anything. Worst, my young kids can’t even begin to compete. So we’re stuck playing solo games that are lame and challenges that are lame. And on top of that, they abandoned franchise mode for this joke of an online system. While chasing the money is prosperous in the short run EA it’s not smart because you fail to get the volume of people buying the game. I think sadly the days of Madden are over and it will require someone developing competition in terms of an NFL game to give us a good NFL experience. If I was the NFL I’d consider not giving exclusive rights to EA. Too bad EA is making the new college game too.
