it was great for a movie, enjoyable, moments to get you at the edge of your seat, crowd going wild and at the end of the day, it's Karasuno vs Nekoma, but is that enough? no. again, it was great for a movie standard, it wasn't upto the standard of what haikyuu presents. haikyuu is about the characters, what they feel, how they grow, it's the small moments, it's the small details, it's the ost, it's about everyone's pov, it's about understanding what's going on, it's about living in the moment, it's about interaction with the whole team, it's about communication, it's about making strategies with the coach, and most especially it's about having breathing space, and there was none of that. that's what happens if there's so much material available from the manga and you decide to end it with a movie. that's not how it's supposed to work, especially when you make a movie of 1 hour and 30 mins something. it's horrible. i am not here to bash on the movie cause some usually might say i am a critic, but i am not, i love haikyuu, i find it beautiful, it's one of my most favourite anime, but it didn't give me any feelings which it has given to me in all the last 4 seasons. every important match was better than this one. it was rushed, that's all i got to say. for a movie standard, it was cool and flashy and all that you'd see in a disney movie, but it's not a Disney movie, it's an anime, and it's haikyuu, you don't make a demon slayer standard movie when you are haikyuu. do better! thank you, have fun!
