I am writing this review in the future to keep people from repeating my mistake in the past, which was to watch this movie in the first place. Some pros: multicultural cast though just one woman in a familiar role in the movie. Cons: the rest. Tenet has Americans fighting with the Russians in one battle scene after another with some gobbledygook thrown in about a weapon that can go from the future to the present, etc. Basically, the film has a convoluted, complicated plot; is absent of a theme but most importantly has no heart. And as a consequence all the fighting, all the pseudo-science comes off as meaningless and cold. If you want to reintroduce movie theaters back into your life save yourself for another movie, hopefully one with not only battle scene after battle scene but a movie that registers a pulse as well.

This movie is like an evening with a friend experiencing a panic attack. There is no rhyme or reason to their anxiety but it is there, anyway. We eventually walked out as there was no theme, no plot; I didn't particularly care or not care about any of the characters there was nothing to latch on to, it just seemed to be about creating an atmosphere of anxiety. There is also alot of negative racial stereotyping in the movie; after all it's really a story about a modern day "Shylock" with a gambling addiction and the working class customers he serves. Even that snippet makes the movie sound more interesting then it was. In the end just hand this friend some xanax and walk away.
