The translation of Dune from book to screen was very well done. My wife and I saw the movie yesterday in IMAX. It was visually delightful, and the story line follows the book. Our only regret was difficulty understanding the dialogue. My wife and I both have age-related hearing loss: while the IMAX sound was loud and booming, we could only follow about half of the spoken lines. Our planned solution for this is to see the film streaming on our HBOMax channel with subtitles. Despite this one reservation, we would both give it a rating of 8 out of 10, well worth seeing.
