The book series is a personal favorite of mine, and I was eagerly anticipating the television adaptation. Regrettably, the adaptation fell short of my expectations. The characters, storylines, and dialogues deviated significantly from the source material, resulting in a disappointing experience. In my opinion, it is one of the weakest adaptations I have encountered.
