Very disappointed with the direction they took with this game. The Last of Us Part 1's story was arguably a masterpiece, but this game is filled with a clear agenda to pander to the LGBT community. We get it... Elle's a lesbian, but we don't have to be reminded of it every other minute. Serious plot holes in this game. The gameplay is good but the story is boring. For the most part, you're just walking around finding supplies waiting for the next cut scene. And the way they killed off Joel early on in the game is ridiculous and to make us play as the character that killed him off was absolutely disrespectful. A great story is what makes or breaks a game...and I put more weight on the story verses graphics because good quality graphics should be the standard...I'm giving this game rating a 1 because of the graphics and gameplay. However, this is a classic case of how to ruin a game franchise 101. Also, Metacritic has lost its credibility as objective source for game reviews...They are actively blocking negative reviews while allowing positive and in a lot of cases fake positive reviews (bots).
