Hugely creative.
Well characterised.
Beautifully shot.
Engaging.
Well paced. Driving. Good forwards momentum.
You can certainly feel the touch of GRRM.
What it lacks is what every series lacks nowadays.
A clean story arc trajectory that hits home.
Come on producers. One of ya. Have the balls to see something through from beginning to end, rather than greedily chase every last dollar, hoping desperately for another series, sacrificing integrity.
Why create something beautiful if you're just going to throttle it?
I still recommend anyone to watch this, enjoy it for the qualities it has. In an imperfect world this is a good haul.
