I was enjoying the series - although there is far too much teenage sex lust for MDs - up until Season 4, episode 2. There, several completely-false, hate-based stereotypes were given expression, as if they were true:
i) The portrayal of the Trans-Woman as a freak, who wants something dangerous and often undesirable - her Gender Confirmation Surgery - is totally Trump-like and bogus. Besides, all one has to do is go to the LGBT Center in Hollywood for letters to get health-plan approval. No doctor actually can prevent this surgery.
II) The portrayal of the autistic 12-year-old as violent is unrealistic and hate-based, seemingly designed to reinforce a common misconception that autism = mental illness = dangerous.
iii) The show's treatment of marijuana as an addictive drug with deleterious long-term consequences makes it sound like some faith-based church-people wrote the script.
