It's not my mother's Perry Mason, but I am not my mother. I am the generation that wanted Easy Rider, Midnight Cowboy, etc. My favorite American era is the 30s, so I enjoy the realism of this program. Acting is great. While the books were grittier and not the pristine intellectual TV program, not sure why they used the name Perry Mason except as a draw.
