I liked 3.15.20. I still prefer "Awaken, My Love!" more, but still, a good album none the less! This album itself is very different compared to Gambino's previous work. The ablum felt like a playlist someone made on Spotify. Each song didn't compliment the next. I swear one of the songs starts with the words "little foot, big foot." Kinda killed the vibe for me. I still liked the song though.
Sadly, I think a little more work could have gone into it, especially with all the hype surrounding this album. It's excusable though because I bet Glover is drowning in work.
Overall, a decent album. Sure I have my problems, but 3.15.20 still gets five stars from me, and for one big reason, these songs helped me get through a pandemic!
3.15.20 released two days after lockdown happened. These songs became a crutch for me, something I could look forward too in a time of great uncertainty and fear. This album defined my experience in lockdown and the months preceding it. 3.15.20 helped me stay positive in a time where everything fell apart.
This makes 3.15.20 one of the best albums of all time because it helped me get through a pandemic. Thank you Childish Gambino and those who worked on this album.
P.S when are we going to get Human sacrifice! That song featured in that one Google pixel commercial. Gambino where is it! I'm begging you, release it.
