Very disappointing. Classics should be treated as such. Too many script changes and poor acting. Ansel followed his namesake Adam's by resembling a tree. Riff was poorly cast and relegated to a background and Maria was average. Anita was very good but nowhere near Rita Moreno who by the way did well in a very contrived role. Speilberg was a lot better telling stories about Sharks in the Jaws movies.
