Walked into this film not really knowing what to expect. Cinema was packed . No one knew each other yet everyone wore pink. :) 💗 All in all it was funny, emotional, relatable, cheesy and thought provoking. Greta is a brillant director as this film was very clever in the way they crafted a film that can be watched by all ages and still be enjoyed. Margot Robbie excels and Ryan Gosling does not disappoint either. I laughed, I cried, I learnt more about the toy we love and know so well: Barbie. I reckon everyone should buy a ticket to see this film if they’ve got a chance. It’s a breath of fresh air with a few famous people acting in it too. The whackiness of the whole thing makes it amazing and the fact that when Margot Robbie first read the script : she loved it but never thought it would get made - and now it’s here, to me shows it really is a great film.

Honestly, I enjoyed this movie. Yes, there are lots of plot holes and the writing isn't fantastic, but the object of watching a movie is to escape from reality for a little while, and this had everything from the roller-coaster ride, to the oh no way laughter, to the mother who will go to any lengths to protect her child, to finally 'who says women can't do what a man can' type ending. Chloe Grace Mortez was really good in this, and I would definitely say check out her other works, as she is really talented. If you are looking for something to watch I would defo say give 'Shadow in the Cloud' a go.

- When I first saw the film, it definitely was as good as I expected it to be. Chloe Grace Mortez is superb in it, she is such a great actress. This film was VERY emotional, and is definitely more heartfelt than action packed as described. The film is full of beautiful shots and definitely makes you sit on the edge of your seat for some parts - I would say if you are looking for a new dystopian/science fiction film that captures motherhood and life in a post apocalyptic world, then this is the perfect film for you. Some may disagree but I honestly loved this film and have watched it many times since it first released on netflix. - Don't let the reviews put you off, some may say that it isn't 'accurate' enough and that events in the film aren't even 'possible'. You just have to remember at the root of the film, its a family trying to survive and a mother trying to do what's best for her child. - Would really recommend, by not watching you are missing out on a great film
