Holy crap! This INSANE movie will live on in the body horror hall of fame forever, or at least longer than Elizabeth Sparkle's Hollywood star. Everyone leaving the theater was shaking their heads WTF?! A couple walked out early, couldn't make it through to the Carrie-like never ending spurting bloodfest finale. Wow.

Truly moving and beautiful. Makes you believe that Rehabilitation through Art is possible. Thank you Colman Domingo for another wonderful and moving fact-based film. I sincerely hope you get the Best Actor award this time.

Realistic and engaging, the story line draws you in to this missing person travelogue with an almost documentary style. As a cranky alcoholic aunt searches for her sister's missing child in Istanbul with a young guide, the audience is introduced to various interesting characters and lots of cute cats! An interesting take on the struggle of poor children and trans people in this bittersweet, funny and loving film.

Beautifully filmed, with Italy as a fully developed character (as well as an astute kittycat !). A great series. Suspenseful and intriguingly creepy! Highly recommended.

I was excited because I read it was a movie about a dystopian future where you could elect to reduce your emotions to mostly calm and perhaps destroy your passion from your history and even your DNA. Would the young lovers choose to do so or would they choose love? I was in! I so love movies like this in this genre, but sadly was disappointed with this overly long and not always engaging supposed love story. I never really felt the love! There were a few really great scenes, but it just didn't work over all. I'm glad I saw it because it was up my alley, but no need to rush out like I did.

A stirring, post-colonial British psycho-social story about a sympathetic Fillipina cleaner and her mischievous daughter. It's more of a spooky mystery than a horror movie, although there are ghosts and monsters of sorts. The final act - starting with the choir scene - is compelling. A good movie worth checking out.

An experimental wild ride of juxtaposition, satire and workers rights. All fans and admirers of Radu Jude's previous work Bad Luck Banging or Looney Porn will appreciate this genre bending incredibly current satire. Beware though it's a long one, almost 3 hours. If he had cut his memorial to prolific traffic violence it would have been shorter, but I salute him for including it. You'll see.
