Watch it, it may not be an outstanding movie but its not a complete waste of time. Four stars for acting Without special effects, this movie meant the audience actually had to pay attention to the acting, which was in my opinion fantastic and worth watching for that alone. Many of the audience will down grade Awake for that alone, yet the lack of special effects, and the performances of the actors pulled us into what could have been a fantastic story. Sadly the writers were unable to pull the storyline into a solid cohesive unit with the actors. It was disjointed, bland in parts and lacked real depth. Luckily for the writers the acting was superb, considering what they had to work with. A better script could have seen Awake becoming a blockbuster instead of a bust!!
