This book is a MUST READ! It made me look at plants and people in a whole new way and appreciate the secret lives of everything and everyone around us. Fantastic book, I’d recommend it to everyone I know, doesn’t matter what your interests are or what your background is. Everyone has something they can relate to or learn from this book.

I listened to the audiobook through a library app on my phone while driving. Such an amazing book and hearing the accents and how each character pronounced and used English really sold how education can impact and change someone’s life. It’s a definite must read/listen for anyone who enjoys inspirational stories about overcoming seeming insurmountable odds and rising above the ashes of tragedy. I had a hard time putting it down and the author’s sense of story telling was masterful and kept me hooked throughout. It had unexpected twists and moments when I shouted out loud in triumph and also sorrow, which really goes to show how well the writing allowed me to connect to the characters and really feel what was happening to them. Go read this book! I rented it through my local library for free, so there is no excuse for you not to get it right now!
