The film depicts the book a lot clearer, if u look into the reasons for the original book being written it is not about pan being a saviour and a perfect child it’s about an obsession with youth and avoiding the troubles that face you as you grow up and how pan avoids this at all cost. The original book of Peter Pan, the little white bird, depicts pan as someone who does not care what he has to do to avoid the consequences of aging and the story of pan is more sinister than what Disney have depicted. The film shows this and the true meaning and lessons behind Peter pans story. Growing up is scary but cannot be changed, the consequences of never facing this and the consequences of never holding onto the hope our younger selves once had are depicted amazingly between hook and pan, for one, I loved this film and am glad someone has shown the real story not just an adaptation that cuts out the moral compass of the original writing
