I love to read. I have always loved to read. I keep some books, in fact, quite a number of them which I re-read from time-to-time. Why? Because each time, I am older, have more life experiences and can perceive and learn new things. In The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry, I was with my people, my tribe, people who loved reading. I learned about being solitary and about sharing in reading experiences. I learned how endlessly amazing people are, a solitary curmudgeon accidentally becoming a loving father more understanding of the world and of people through the rigors of parenting.
