Saw Uncut Gems this afternoon. Thought Adam Sandler did a great job in his role! (He was nothing like the goofball he has always been in past movies.)

To me, the message of the movie is that when you are hurting from personal loss, you need to involve yourself in the helping of others; thereby helping yourself feel better.

If you are a Jason Statham fan, you will enjoy this movie. See it! Loved the go backs! My movie mate joked that the moral of the story was to "never wait in the car when your dad goes to pick up burritos," ha!

Saw "Mule" this afternoon and enjoyed it! Hard to believe Clint is 88 and still going strong! The scenes of him singing along with the radio while driving in his truck were my favorite, especially the scene while he was also eating an ice cream sandwich. I've always felt bad/sad for people who spend so much of their lives trying to earn more & more money and working long hours away from their family. Glad he made a point of pointing that out to Cooper's character. Might not be enough action in it for the young crowd, but a definite must see for us "older" Eastwood fans.

Had heard some lackluster reviews, yet I wanted to see this movie myself and form my own opinion as I've always enjoyed performances in the past by McCarthy & Haddish. Well, I wasn't disappointed and actually found myself being drawn into the story and really enjoying one of the developing relationships. Story took an unexpected turn at one point, to my disappointment. Strong "girl power" theme (go ladies!), plenty of shootings, and some gore.
