I have never watched the original movie but I feel that this movie was amazing. I am a little disappointed that out of the beginning five characters only 2 made it out alive but I personally think that this movie is amazing and kids could watch it. The one thing I would worry about with kids watching it, it could develop a fear of tornadoes or even high speed winds. But overall it was an amazing movie.
