What this movie was intending to do was hint at police brutality and support the black lives matter movement. It did those two things well, accurately depicting the dynamic between police and minorities from the perspective of minorities (although not necessarily showing the accurate depiction of a cop, saying that all are bad people, out to get minorities. In reality, majority are not biased, although one bad cop in my opinion is too many). But, this is not at all the problem I had with the film. The bottom line is that is was genuinely a bad movie. The ending intended to show how this cycle would never stop. She could not save her loved ones no matter how hard she tries. But, what we got was not this at all. What we got was this extremely vague sort of quasi-cliffhanger that gives absolutely no closure whatsoever. It’s literally as if they gave up when they got too lazy to make an ending. 2/10 solely because of the ending.
