Only seeing the classroom scene, with students dissecting the works of Baldwin, Hurston, Wilson to Coates convinced me. Students at a small predominantly white liberal college are led by a professor who makes room for reflection that includes liberal and conservative politics, white privilege and the intimate fears and anger of various minority students.
