Initial thoughts - spoiler free review !! A deep dive into the World of wrestling based on a true story about the Van Vorne family and the 4 brothers we are taken through this epic journey of success along side horrible bad luck. Although I feel the lives of each brother could have been delved into a bit further the film definitely captured the importance of wrestling and what the sport means to the world. Not an avid wrestling fan myself but this has definitely spiked my interest. Zac effron played the role of Kelvin fantasticly and really brought to light the family dynamics well. Overall an emotional hard hitting sports film that is definitely worth a re watch, incredible visuals and for Sean Dunkin’s directorial debut into the sports drama genre it was fantastic. 4/5, even if you are not into wrestling please don’t let this put you off this is so much more than just about wrestling. Go go go see it!!! 🤼

After watching this film twice it’s safe to say that you are left on the edge of your seat throughout. It’s impossible to identity this film as being a specific genre as it is a mixture of all genres with a psychological being the for front of this movie. It’s safe to say that this has to go in my top 5 best movies of all time as I have been left speechless both times which in my time not many films have had that effect on me. So overall this has to be a 10/10 and would recommend for people to not watch this film once, it’s simply that good😁

bsolute masterpiece this film, kept me hooked for the full 150mins. Love hate relationship was a constant theme throughout with clear oppression between all sides however what stood out for me where the incredible visuals, rough belak are forever present in his survival which added to the suspense that was built up throughout, for me this is definitely i my top 10 best films of all time, I would definitely recommend people who are having doubts to watch this film I promise you that you will not regret that decision🙂

This film is truley outstanding, being an underdog and actually explaining that you don’t need money to be successful. Not only does this film bring out the emotional side to the game it also plays a relivsnt part in other sports and that building a jigsaw of success rather than buying the best is what allows for long term success. This film has to be in my top ten favourite films of all time purely down to the fact that it elaborates the players point of few but also the scouts point of you in great detail. Well done Brad Pitt, pure passion.

I’m not usually an emotional guy, but this film definitely brought a tear to my eye with the prosperity brought together by both Viggo mortensen and mahershala Ali, there acting was nothing but fantastic and really brought to life the problems and the prejudice people went through just because of the colour of there skin; and sadness me even more because nearly 60 years later this issue is still prominent. Overall this film is outstanding and is definitely in my top 5 best films.
