I've played a fair share of battle royals, but the mode that Bethesda Studios has put forth is truly unique. They took a post-apocalyptic world that we've been in love with for years and turned it into an exciting pvp arena.
Zax is as equally annoying as he is mysterious, in the best way. Vault 51 launched a series of peculiar lore that made you excited to level up and learn more.
I'll never forget the day I reached level 100. I'll never forget walking through the barrier into Zax's room. You had to bust your rump to even get in there. A creepy VIP fallout experience, to say the very least.
In regards to the game play itself, it's immersive, enticing and exhilarating. The feeling when you find yourself caught in the fire, running with every ounce of AP you have just to get out, is truly one to behold.
The players are what truly make this mode all that it is. The 1v1 setups, the boxing matches with the last bush wookie, the togetherness of the community, the laughter we share at 3am - knowing full well we should have been asleep hours ago, the "one more game," and the friendships that will last a lifetime are what wrap this game up in a wonderful little bow.
I cannot wait to see what the future of this game mode will reveal.
