I don't know why this scored so low, and some of the reviews i read made me think we weren't watching the same movie. In its essence it has some classic psychological/supernatural horror elements, and i thought it came across really well. Sadie Snook was awesome, and Lily LaTorre was stellar as her daughter. I'd watch it again as a recommendation to friends.

Admittedly my draw to this was Isla Fisher, i love watching her perform and she was wonderful in this, coupled with a great performance by Josh Gad. The music score was beautiful, ambient, sorrowful at parts. Fans of Santa Clarita Diet -might- like this but this isn't so zany, and dips a fair bit into the dramatic and somber side of things.

if you're looking for a factually accurate film adaptation about Ed Gein, THIS IS NOT THE ONE.

Octavia Spencer's performance was near excellence. the film itself had a lot of potential but had a fair amount of shortcomings... maybe if there were some sort of sequel or prequel in the works, could prove an avenue to fix that. I did enjoy though.

quickly became one of my all time favourite shows. it's funny and trippy and effortlessly bounces from light and nonsensical to deep and dark.

quickly became one of my all time tv series, having already been a fan of the Hannibal Lector franchise, i was skeptical at first, seeing Mads Mikkelsen as the title character, but ultimately he did a great job. This show also has a very well done dark, psychedelic element throughout and an excellent music/sound score by Brian Reitzell to match.
