Foremost i want to say its a very enjoyable show, i binged it in one day and may go back to it for some fight choreography scenes, and for Granny and the kid.
What i loved most, is that it brings that classic 90s Japanese comedies and dramas, its pretty much a comedy/drama centred around shinobi family, we don't call them "ninjas" they are shinobis.
For me the story was ok, not that it wasn't surprising but if you watch Japanese shows a lot, sometimes the tropes comes up, once you now what happens in episode one, you can more or less get an arch for the main story.
The characters that i liked the most, it was the Dad, Mom, Granny and Kid, the show pretty much is conveyed around Haru, but i think his moodiness blew a bit his performance (less believable, but i understand that to convey that family Japanese drama, one has to play that stereotype, also some of Haru's decisions made no sense (btw Haru is the same name as in Spirited Away).
For someone as skilled and decades trained as Haru, his moodiness was a bit off putting, not being able to off someone, i understand that, but broody characterisation of him, make him seem like a little kid, but in fact is nothing but, in his detective skills, coldness in face of danger and excellent shinobi skills, this didn't make sense.
Miner Spoilers
Also the arc of Crow and Ayame not sure of her name and is hard to find her name in the credits, even though honestly that was an important plot point, you can't have their connection, and betrayal and then like nothing happen without more exposition, it didn't make sense for the Crow not to get rid of her, since that was his rule and request, in regards to a group of people and its related ending.
Then what does it mean about the lady and the scroll, if supposedly they can use only during eclipses?
Anyway its a fun comedy and drama series, for that part is great, and very good feeling througout, but the plot leaves something to be desired.
