Snoozefest. People who like the video game apparently like this adaptation but as someone who is simply a zombie fan the show could not be more dull and uncreative so far. It starts out like any typical zombie apocalypse. Slow paced strange happenings until all hell breaks loose. Even the death of his daughter is cliche. Killed by a soldier following orders because first the military attempts containment and once they can't they kill civilians. Then cut to 20 years later and everyone's dirty and scrambling in a dystopian world quick to screw each other over. Typical. Snooze. The main character comes across an infected child who has not turned. Been done and done and done again. Even when I simply compare this to TWD the level of creativity and pace is not even close. I've never played the game but if it's this boring I'm glad I'm not a gamer. Good leading cast. That's all I got for the good.

I like Matthew McConaughey better in the part for starters and the show is a little slow and boring at times. The show is watchable but mostly just to pass the time. Nothing really compelling yet. Surprised it got picked up for another season tbh. Would much rather have had a 3rd season of Mindhunters but oh well. Netflix for ya. The so so shows can last forever on there.
