I was skeptical to go into this album, considering the rough roll out she had leading up. Kicking off the era with the collaboration of Dr. Luke put a bad taste in everyone’s mouth. If you’re gonna work with him, the comeback single needs to be perfect. And, it wasn’t. Starting out a little disappointed, I did not know what to expect from the entire 143 album. However, after concluding my listen, I am extremely impressed. You want to have fun and dance? This is the album for you. Katy takes the time to give that fun factor people itch for, while also touching on some personal things in her own life. It was a fantastic experience top to bottom and definitely added some light to why Woman’s World was the start to the era. This is a new type of vibe she was going for and she knew who to put on the team to make it happen. Happy to say, it HAPPENED. Overall, I am not thrilled about the re-coupling with Dr. Luke, but it should not take away from how enjoyable this album truly is. Katy Perry did it again and we should celebrate!
