This movie was a rollercoaster tbh.
It marks the end Daniel Craig's JB era and in a not so secret way. The movie's ending though highly controversial, convinced me that it was the perfect wave Daniel Craig could have got. As the fans might notice, there is a distinct difference between each and every one of the james bond actors. Ranging from Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan, Roger Moore etc., Each of these actors have quite a distinct way of protraying the 007 and also the way the story progresses.
This movie is a big tip to Daniel Craig's JB.
This movie though a very flamboyant send off to Daniel, was flawed in many ways. The villain had little to no role in the movie. This movie was a cliched espionage cum save the world kinda one in a classy JB 007 way. I like it, yes. But was it original or new? Meh. Not really.
Although, the direction and cinematography. The beaches to the seas to the snow to the green grass to the offroads to the country roads...i could keep going on and on about it.
And we finally get to see the JB Aston Martin in action this time. The action was epic and full of the 007 swagger. I could not help but notice that the rest of the cast did not have their character arcs defined properly, or to put it in a non irritating, they were less used than the last films. This film glares JB in every scene leaving no one else neither the screen time nor the ability to define their characters.
With all the criticism said and done.
The movie was one of a kind. Something you would never expect in a Bond movie. It was new in that way. The screenplay kept the movie light and humourous. The action kept us on the edge of the street. Oh the car chases!.
Definitely watch the movie if you have seen the previous Daniel's movies. Otherwise it might be a bit tough to catch up on the characters and their motives.
Watch it though.
