Waste of time.
As this book was highly recommended by a friend, I took the plunge. After 40 pages, my expectation was that it must get better after such accolades. Alas, never improved. Poor character development, poor plot points, boring and unnecessary detail. One thing I have not read in anyone's review....the dialog assigned to Briar was not at all consistent with the development of a 3-5 year old. With 3 degrees in education I felt that most statements rang inappropriate for the age of the speaker. Inaccuracies such as this seemed to riddle the entire book. The ending was the worst. Left me feeling nothing...except a wish that I did not spend time reading this book.
