I love the story line and it seems like it could’ve been a great film. But honestly…..Tom cruise killed it. Killed as in ruined. Hey made it very campy. Something about his scenes pull you out of the storyline. Every. Single. Time. I really don’t understand how that happens. I’m probably not explaining it right but it’s just off. This is the first time that an A+ actor has ruined a movie.

This movie is trash. Poor character development, poor research done, and poor plot development. There were no scares in this movie. And the the exorcism was terrible….just so bad. There is no way in hell that a non believer would be able to be in the same room as an exorcism. There were multiple people in that room that were either weak, scared, or didn’t believe. And then somehow the parents are able to save their daughters. The same people who didn’t believe or were scared are the ones that saved their kids. Technically it wasn’t even the priest that did it….it was the parents. None of it made any sense. What was the point my of having the priest there. Also the poor attempt to combine Yoruba religion with Christianity made some so mad. Not because I don’t believe in them but because it was poorly done. Just so bad. I’m so disappointed in the director and the script.
