Its just samey. Go to hideout, see if there is upgraded weapons, armour, buy them, go to next place, fight boss(es), go back to hideout. No party, no real magic system, items are just a mess. I got a purple weapon that was immediately made useless by the next common weapon I could buy. Chests and random finds are just nothings. If you find a lot of potions/hi potions get ready for an easy battle that lasts for 10 minutes, where you just do the same thing over and over while never feeling threatened. No moments where you entire party is wiped and your on 1hp because you don't actually have a party. No differentiation between various types of attack, nothing is weak to fire, wind, etc so you don't have to think about that. Its just missing a bunch of things that have been common to every FF game I've played before it (7,8,10,12,15).
