Tedious, frustrating and overly difficult. Running around to find dark and light ammo, and fighting corrupted Space Pirates too often trying to leave rooms. Some echo beam that is pointless, and the regrettable reintroduction of the wall jump (guess they didn’t learn from Super Metroid). Rationing health in the dark world, too many puzzules, and overly complex bosses. I smashed the disk twice, and took a 15 year break before trying it again. After I beat it, I only played it again to prove it wasn’t a fluke. Because this game is torture! I respect the game but it was the biggest let down after Metroid Prime.
