The double page illustrations depict a single human and dog . Each turn of the page introduces a dawning of a new age of humanity. There are subtle details that change with the depictions of both dog and human. From the large Grey Wolf, to German Shepherd and family Labrador, we note the breed varieties through time. This is coupled with variations to the solitary human figure, from prehistoric hunter, Egyptian, Roman, farmer, soldier to contempoary woman. A book for all ages. Stunning!
