We've seen police procedural dramas aplenty, but this sole stand alone drama about the trials and tribulations of the members of blue watch and the London fire brigade tell an excellent story over 14 series. A large ensemble cast and some outstanding special effects created long before CGI. A hit 90's series that was a pleasure to grow up watching. Old timer Sindey Tate, to well remembered "Recall", Sub officer Hallam and the brilliant Geoff "Poison" Pearce. As expensive as the two box sets may be (on average around £140 for the pair) worth every penny and many hours of great nostalgia and viewing time, to a standard of intense drama that will never likely to be surpassed again.
