A bit of a mess so far. Some positive surprises mixed with a few not so good. Strip away the phenomenal scenery, CGI and production and the weak underbelly is the dialogue. That’s what’s really annoyed me, I don’t care about elves having short hair, Galadriel being more of a warrior, the dwarves being comic relief…that’s all just part of making a series and having to change things to accommodate the transition to film but the writing is really, really bad at times.
