**SPOILERS** I loved the show. I must admit, it was very long and skipped the bits that did not interest me and not let life pass me by. I love the Japanese influence and the samurai codes. The fact that Miguel tries to hold everything together despite the chaos and destruction around him. How he dealt with the cancerous gangs and tried to remit and modernise them but failed. It would have been good if the screen writers had a balance of life and death. In the end it was too much death and not enough life. Humans need hope and too much tragedy becomes wearing. The way the script was written, Miguel deserved his loss. Play by sword, killed by sword. The most precious things were taken away from him. It would be nice for the screen writers to make Miguel more mature and smarter, i.e I felt there were too many unspoken words and assumptions that lead to the tragic end. If they were to do season 3, it would nice to have Miguel focused more on communications with his people, enemies and ones he loved and let the tragedy be human flaws. Why this series appeal to me was that the script was intelligent to a point, packed full of action and a bit of heart. Adela and Miguel were good (not great) as I did not feel the chemistry between them. The chemistry between Claire Fraser and Jamie Fraser in Outlander is something to uphold. Ishiro and Chisca have a great on screen chemistry and loved how their relationship developed. Chisca has so much potential and would have made a great dumb to smart character as she found purpose and the love of her life. And its refreshing they did not have swearing to emphasise the gravity of a scene or story. There’s too many bad things happening in the world (and good too) and people need heroes to escape, even to accept some bad things can happen but if the core is good, its a starting point.
All the actors were great!
