Most Stone Roses and Oasis fans must be intrigued by this but realistically thinking it could range from dodgy to great? Fear not its anything but Fools Gold. A great batch of songs by John Squire is taken to a higher level by Liams voice and Squires fresh and ready as a perfectly ripe advocado guitar riffs and solos. It's nearer to the Stone Roses album than Second Coming (Squires Led Zeppelin album) and is much better than the Seahorses if in the end just falling short of the Roses classic. 10 tracks at under 40 mins means there's no over indulgence and there's not a dud track in site. Highlights include track 2 from Mars to Liverpool which crunches in like She bangs the drums with its catchy tune and driving guitar. Just Another Rainbow is the radio friendly stadium classic whilst the album finishes strongly with I'm so bored (Liams chance to do the Stones Satisfaction) and Mother Nature's Song which sees him joining brother Noel in ditching "I don't wanna know how your garden grows" for grown up climate change considerations as he booms "take time to take a look at watch she's done " Noel already having given us " I'm sick of seeing all the flowers turn to stone" in the gorgeous "Dying of the light" There's some great bluesy rockers here that make more than decent fillers. Perhaps Squires legacy was in need of this album more than Liam and it shows as he wrote the tunes and some awesome guitar play. Roses fans may Mourn if he had this in him then what of the wasted years but beggars .......

A wonderful array of British actors but how they kept their faces straight and played this as a true story only they know. A send up of British snobbery and quirkiness at its best alla Blackadder. I might have knocked half a star off as I thought it's a story of such potential that there could have been even more bellyaching with laughter lines. But by the end we both came out wiping the tears of laughter off our faces and though the wicked language might not be for Grandma the two sat behind us stayed till the very end!

Like Bohemian Rhapsody this will be very popular with fans compared to average critics reviews (I give critic reviews 2 stars over the years anyway!) To push for peace when your friends and families lives are at risk, to have to leave your country and decide to record what Time magazine called the most influential album of the 20th century in Exodus and to return as a hero who was proved right is some achievement for too short a life. The music is awesome and there's lots of it. Where is the Bob Marley of Israel/ Palastine?
