I've loved watching drug lord shows and movies such as "Good Fellas", I didn't have any idea I would be addicted to this show as much as I am. You do have to read subtitles because it hops back and forth from english to spanish but honestly? Its given me an appreciation for the launguage and I actually like it and prefer for the subtitles to be there so I can listen to them speak spanish, Ive even learned how to say mother f***ers" in spanish haha And many other words as well, its a really good show and the naracter tells you whats going on and who everyone is so you arent lost and googling the whole time of "who is this person" and "what does this mean" They really explain it so everyone understands whats really going on so there is no confusion. The only thing I thought was confusing is that they didn't show the birth of the son and I thought for a while they adopted him? I have looked it up though and it is their son I just feel like they should have included his birth as well theres alot of nudity lots of cursing, its for sure an adult show and should not be shown to younger kids, theres alot of shooting and killing as well and they dont censor at all which I like because it keeps you in the moment and you can imagine being there watching it in real life.. It also has alot of learning capabilities. I had no idea how bad things were in Colombia and Im glad I watched this because now I know just how crazy things were. Although I have seen quite a few things that aren't accurate after doing a quick google search and his son made 28 things that arent actually true but at the beginning of each episode they do state that things are dramatized so take it with a grain of salt. The one thing I do love in this series is the true passion between Pablo and Tata, you can't help but truly feel for them i recommend to everyone but I do know that alot of people won't watch because of the reading of the subtitles but i would still watch it and at least try because its an awesome and well done show
