Simply amazing. As someone who grew up loving turn based jrpgs and being disappointed with the way final fantasy and others have recently shifted this hit all the right spots. The story has several big surprises and is great. The characters are all fleshed out and great. The combat is turn based but not grindy. All characters level up at the same rate regardless of if they are in your party or not, regardless if they are koed at the time, regardless of who got the killing blow. All mana and health is also reset after every combat so no reason to not use all your skills. This was such a surprise find and made me so happy it recaptures everything of the glory days of jrpgs and makes some improvements, it's honestly perfect.
