I downloaded this game thinking it would be a fun Pokemon knock-off to try, but it turned out to be a fantastic game. It has been a long time since I have found a game that is this addicting, light-hearted, and enjoyable to play. It is not at all a knock-off. Monster Sanctuary is it's own type of game, and I LOVE it. Sure you collect monster and the combat is turn-based with similar elements such as status effects and buffs, but the gameplay is so much more fluid and the puzzles work so well with the platformer playstyle. For anyone on the fence about buying this game, you absolutely have to get it. The storyline is a perfect balance between simplicity, and complexity. There's some depth to it! But not an overwhelming amount. As someone who enjoys a lot of in-depth RPGs, Monster Sanctuary has been a great way to take a break and kick back to relax and have fun. I would recommend this to anyone of all ages. Genuinely a 5 star game and I can't wait for them to make another one!
