A terrible rendition of this story. So many things are changed and modernized and Hollywoodized that I hardly know where to begin. My biggest problem with all of the modern Narnia movies is the snarky, sarcastic, contentious attitude amongst all the characters. The siblings are often snotty and mean spirited to one another. Prince Caspian is supposed to be in awe of the returning kings and queens and instead is a belligerent teenager, as is Peter. Yes, Peter is decidedly unkingly in this movie. The story itself is changed around quite a bit from the original, and it is unclear why this was done. I’m sure I could tire you with endless examples but suffice it to say that the radio theater versions of the Narnia stories are greatly preferred to the Disnified nonsense portrayed here. I will say the music is beautiful as is the scenery.
