I just watched the pilot. It's really funny and not just a bunch of stereotypes like shows about Appalachia usually are. I mean, of course there are references to our sayings and such but done in an honest and realistic way meant to portray authenticity not to demean. It was created by someone from Kentucky who knows how we speak and act. The actors have done a pretty good job representing that. It's difficult to replicate but I think they've done well so far and will get better. I married someone "not from around here," and as he started picking up regional phrases, it sounded weird coming from him. After 20 years or so, he's almost like one of us now LOL.
