As many are saying, this game is hard - like the first TMNT on NES hard (if you are old enough you will likely understand what that means lol). If you are a casual soulsborne fan, you may want to rent this one before buying.
That said, I absolutely love the challenge. It's daunting at times, but nothing is impossible. You must have patience to succeed in this game. Rushing a mob of enemies will get you killed 99% of the time. The combat system is very robust compared to previous FromSoftware games, so prepare for a steep learning curve. The boss fights can be frustrating, but if you find the right tool for the job it's not so bad. I bought it the day it released, and have already put a lot of time in, and I'll say it's getting easier to handle the fights. 10/10 in my opinion, but this game is not for everyone.
I've seen a lot of people complaining about controls and target lock - these settings are configurable in the options menu. So don't be deterred by anyone who says they aren't. Most importantly, do your research, watch some gameplay videos, make sure this is what you want to buy because it is not a Dark Souls clone. This game requires more strategic planning with resources and combat.
